Each contestant is required to bring at least two #2 pencils and a clear clipboard. No water bottles or calculators can be brought to the fields. Pocket knives are allowed with advisor permission. Water will be available at the pits to use for judging soil texture. A judge will critique the event after the contest. Scantrons will be provided for all chapters that paid 2020 regional dues.

The contest will be held at Holston Farm. There will be designated parking for buses and other vehicles. How to get there:
1) Directions to Holston Farm from Interstate 40-81: Exit at Strawberry Plains Pike. Pilot station and scales on south side of interstate. From interstate, continue south on Strawberry Plains Pike 3.2 miles to stop at State Highway 168 (John Sevier highway). Cross John Sevier Highway continuing on Strawberry Plains Pike 2.1 miles (this is a winding road). Cross Boyds Bridge over Holston River (this is still Strawberry Plains Pike), 1st road to left (Holston Hills Road) turn left, 1.2 miles to stop (Riverside Drive). Turn left. Sign says dead end, cross one-way railroad bridge, 1.5 miles to farm headquarters.
