Paragraph form stuff

How would you describe FFA?

A student oriented organization that focuses on teachingyoung people the importance of agriculture in a world in which people arefocusing on things they see as more important. It also helps to teach studentsuseful life skills including public speaking, how to conduct a meeting, andeven how to handle a job interview. With its many life skills, the FFA alsopromotes leadership in all of its members who interact with people that havesimilar ideas but different backgrounds. The FFA is many things to many people, but for me it’s a way of life like no other that I would not trade for theworld.

The most memorable moment in my FFA career thus far wouldhave to be knocking out the power in my school’s agriculture department. I wasattempting to wire a light switch for the agriculture mechanics CDE I wastraining for. After a few failed attempts I finally decided to look at the bookmy advisor had given me and follow it step by step. Well to make a long storyshort, after following the book step by step I turned the switch on and theentire ag shop went black. The power was only out for a few seconds, but thestory of me knocking out the power is still told to all of the freshmen in ouragriculture classes.

My favorite CDE is parliamentary procedure.

My career plans thus far are to attend college after HighSchool and then go to grad school. I also plan to study abroad while in collegebecause I want to travel. While in college I plan to double major in politicalscience and biology. After undergraduate school, I will decide on Veterinarianschool or Law school. There are really no plans for after college at themoment, I’ll have to get there first.

My life long role model has been Steve Irwin, aka the oneand only crocodile hunter.

The advice I would give to a green hand would be to not giveup. Even though your dreams may seem far away or even impossible, never giveup. You have the next four years to prepare for the rest of your life and thereis so much potential for you to do something amazing, but it will be extremelyeasy for you to waste this potential which would be a terrible lose to theworld.  Preserver through it all andbecome the amazing one of a kind person that you were born to be, because noone can do the things that you can do. I live by the quote, “Shoot for the moonand if you miss you will land among the stars.” That quote has inspired me toaim for my wildest dreams and through those radical dreams I have been able toreach goals that I could never have imagined. In short, just be you and neverlet the fear of failure keep you from accomplishing anything.
